Nana’s Hugs Fleece Blanket

Distance is part of many families now. Grandchildren grow up in another state, sometimes another country, and visits are counted in holidays. This blanket was written for exactly that: “Nana’s hugs, for when I can’t be there.” The words sit inside a soft oval of willow leaves on a sage background, with a linen border around the edge.

It works in both directions. Grandchildren give it to Nana so she has something warm from them on the sofa; grandmothers give it to a grandchild going off to college or moving away. Either way it says the same thing.
